ALTAR SERVERS
Altar serving is fun and is a privilege within the Catholic Church. It gives each altar server a special grace from God.
- Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled Mass so that you can prepare accordingly.
- Please dress appropriately (with neat, clean clothes, especially shoes and socks) and be respectful of the special commitment you have made to God.
- If you are attending a Mass and the scheduled altar server is not present, please feel free to volunteer.
- Robes are located in the room behind the altar. After the Mass is celebrated, the robes are to be hung neatly on the color-coded hangers.
- We would like to have at least three (3) servers at each Mass – one to carry the cross and two to carry the candles. If you cannot attend a scheduled Mass, please either ask another altar server to substitute for you and call the Director of Religious Education to let her know of the change or call her so that she can provide a replacement for you.
- If your friends are interested in serving, please have them contact the Director of Religious Education either by phone or email.
