“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.”
Faith.
The most important gift we can receive. It not only sustains us in this life but it prepares us for eternal life. Jesus asked that we pass this special gift on to our children……
Welcome to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Religious Education Program.
Our Mission is to build the foundation for a child to develop a lifelong relationship with God. This is accomplished in partnership with the child’s primary teachers – the parents. Religious Education is a faith based program designed to give children K – 8th grade an understanding of our Catholic faith in the hopes of enriching their personal spirituality and appreciation for God’s blessings. Our curriculum focuses on the love God has for all of us and on how we are to reciprocate love to God and neighbor. Children are expected to become active participants in learning through class activities, attending weekly Mass and support of our community service projects.

Guidelines for Parents
Parents are the primary educators of their children and it is God’s plan that they take an active role in their child’s religious education. This can be accomplished by
- taking children to Mass each Sunday,
- helping with religious education homework and projects,
- attending the Mandatory Parent & Sacramental Meetings held throughout the school year.
The short booklet , Guidelines for Parents 2011-2012 contains important information parents need to know for the smooth running of our school.
Confirmation Requirements
8th grade is a very special year in our school. Our children become adults in the Church by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
